Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 28:<\/strong> <\/span>Mitsu Chem Plast Limited (BSE: 540078),\u00a0one of India\u2019s leading polymer solutions companies engaged in the manufacturing of blow-molded\u00a0and injection-molded\u00a0products, has announced a strategic expansion of its manufacturing footprint as part of its long-term growth plan.<\/p>\n

The Company has proposed to commence manufacturing operations at a new facility located at the MIDC Industrial Area, Taluka\u2013Boisar, District\u2013Palghar. The premises have been taken on a leave and license basis and will support the Company\u2019s growing operational requirements.<\/p>\n

Currently, Mitsu Chem Plast operates three manufacturing units,Unit 1 and Unit 2 at\u00a0Tarapur, and Unit 3 at\u00a0Khalapur,\u00a0with a\u00a0combined installed capacity of over 29,000 MT per annum. As of the quarter ended September 2025, the Company was operating at an\u00a0overall capacity utilization of approximately 68%, reflecting healthy demand across its product portfolio.<\/p>\n

The proposed\u00a0Boisar\u00a0facility will add\u00a0approximately 900 MT per annum\u00a0to the Company\u2019s total manufacturing capacity. To support this expansion, the Company plans to invest\u00a0around\u00a0\u20b9101\u00a0lakh, funded entirely through\u00a0internal accruals, towards the purchase of new machinery.<\/p>\n

This capacity addition is aligned with Mitsu Chem Plast Limited\u2019s strategy to\u00a0sustain long-term growth,\u00a0address evolving market demand, and\u00a0enhance operational flexibility. The expansion will enable the Company to improve responsiveness to customer requirements, optimize production planning, and support incremental volumes without significant strain on existing facilities.<\/p>\n
