IAWF\u2019s 3rd International Aari Workers Conference united 1,000 artisans launched a 12-benefit plan<\/em><\/p>\n

Puducherry [India], October 31:<\/strong> The Indian Aari Workers Federation (IAWF) created a remarkable moment in the history of Indian artisan movements by hosting the 3rd International Aari Workers Conference 2025 in Puducherry, organised by the Puducherry Aari Workers Council (PYAWC).<\/p>\n

Over 1,000 women Aari artisans from across the country gathered for a day of inspiration, learning and record-making. A collective Nobel World Record attempt highlighted the skill and unity of India\u2019s craftwomen.<\/p>\n

The conference drew national attention after a powerful speech by Dr. Aravind Lakshminarayanan, National President of IAWF, whose remarks questioned the growing number of fake, unregistered \u201cempowerment\u201d groups that exploit women in the name of social service.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo service by association \u2014 don\u2019t do business by association,\u201d said Dr. Aravind, urging organisations to prioritise real development over profit.<\/p>\n

Free legal support, training workshops, and foreign exposure programmes for qualified members.<\/p>\n

A Stand Against Fake Certifications<\/p>\n

Dr. Aravind\u2019s address also exposed the misuse of government logos, fake ISO certificates, and unapproved accreditation bodies that mislead artisans.<\/p>\n

He announced that IAWF will start a national verification and awareness drive in 2026 to protect genuine Aari workers and ensure transparent certification practices.<\/p>\n

The event, coordinated by Ms. Divyabharathi, General Secretary of PYAWC, concluded with cultural performances, recognition of top artisans and an open call for integrity within all women\u2019s organisations.<\/p>\n
